One of our clients is looking for a Software Asset Manager to add to their dynamic team. In this role, the Software Asset Manager is a self-starter who will thrive in a team environment and will bring a positive attitude to the team. The Software Asset Manager will be leading day-to-day operations and have a solid understanding of software licensing models.
The Software Asset Manager will be experience with managing vendor audits and ensure the quality and accuracy of software asset records. The Software Asset Manager will also perform reconciliations by comparing entitlements with discovered installations to determine effective license positions for each in-scope publisher. The Software Asset manager is passionate about software management and has a keen eye for detail and will ensure compliance across the IT landscape.

Rate: $48 - $55 / hr. w2
Responsibilities
- Accountable to ensure new entitlement purchases, true-ups, and maintenance renewals, including maintenance of contract pricing and negotiated terms.
- Collaborate to ensure licensing contracts are optimized based on usage and predicted consumption.
- Understand impact of maintenance / assurance, support contracts and requirements.
- Leading analysis, design, and requirements for IT SAM process improvements and feature enhancements
- Handle lifecycle stages of software assets from initial request - purchasing, deployment, maintenance - through removal from service.
- Ensuring quality of software asset records within the Asset Management Repository, including Software Discovery Models, Software Product Models and Software Entitlements.
- Discover and establish a full inventory of software deployed.
- Identify and correlate hardware and devices of the deployed software.
- Identify number of licenses, licensing scheme / type, and utilization of each discovered software.
- Identify publishers for whom we do not have full license spend and see high-level where we are non-compliance.
- Identify licensed applications, and identify vendor, count, cost per license, and current license holders. Categorize all license usage: assigned in-use, assigned unused, unassigned, expired.
- Develop and analyze reconciliation reports to resolve required actions to address non-compliant software installations.
- Performing reconciliation by comparing entitlements with discovered software installations to resolve effective license positions for each in-scope publisher.
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years proven experience in managing software licensing contracts and navigating the entitlement process effectively
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and its applications in asset management and procurement
- A solid understanding of entitlements and procurement processes
- Experience working through vendor audits
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
